Three MONTHS ago........

I last updated. What?!? Where did the time go????
Anyway, I had this great idea to finally get some digital photos ready to post. I transferred them and everything, carried them around with me for about a month and then gave up....
What you missed....Shaylin and Myles first day of school. Myles is the epitomy of a Middle Schooler (6th grade) with his hat and hair down over his eyes. Shaylin in her dreaded but Oh so cute uniform (1st Grade) as her school switched to uniforms this year. I was totally excited not to have clothing struggles in the morning this year but even with uniforms we still can't decide between jumper, pants, or skirt, knee highs vs tights, shoes vs boots and so on. She is such a diva!
Also missed were great shots from State Fair, Valley Fair (the kids good and soaked- Shaylin on Steele Vemon- the girl is so brave!!!), the Apple orchard.
So, we are back in the swing of school. Myles has his last football game tonight- it was a pretty tough season, only one win so far but in that win Myles scored the one and only touchdown. He is a really great player but his team just cannot get the offense together. He is taking it all in stride and is ready to start Chess anyway.
Shaylin became a Daisy Scout and is pretty cute in her smock. I pulled all my old girl scout stuff out and she was pretty impressed with my badges but hell if I know what they mean anymore. I tried to teach her "Make New Friends" in a round but she just kept repeating me when I started singing.
Shaylin is also taking swimming- She loves the water (wants to be a dolphin trainer) and has a long torso like Michael Phelps so we have dreams of Olympics one day. Hawaii 2022!!!
I am trying to take avantage of rainy fall days to organize and small household tasks. We have a kick butt Holloween scene this year, Myles had a good time making it scary, so good that Shaylin hasn't slept in her bed all night since we completed it. So much for being brave! She is being a vampress this year and will probably scare herself! Myles is opting out as he is "too old".
Well, I will try to update in another three months- Maybe I will actually have pictures posted!!!!

Here I am....

Well, I kept putting off updates until I had new pictures to add (they are my favorite party of reading others blogs) but I can never seem to find time to do both- So I am adding an update to my "friends" will stop giving me crap about never updating.
So, summer is half-way done so the stores tell me I should be getting ready for back to school. I do not agree - Can I get a hell yah, Amy? Summer should just go on and on. I love sleeping in a little and doing all of the fun summer stuff we do.
We took a mini-vacay to a cabin in Richard Bong State Park (no clever commentary here). I made my own FIRE several times. This was a lot different from the cabin in Buckhorn as we were on a prairie. Yes, I did stap on my bonnet and run through the field like Laura. Although, Stro did not call me half-pint he did offer me one! Good times! Looking for fishing holes we traveled through most of southeastern Wisconsin. The kids had fun swimming in the lakes (thank goodness they are not afraid of lake water). I made the best of my time laying on the beaches and reading.
The kids are in a day camp through Boys and Girls Club so they are busy Monday through Friday. Shaylin is whooping tail in T-Ball- she scored 5 home runs last week (although every hit is a home run and they don't keep score but in Amy's honor we DO keep score). I was just mentally preparing for a break from activities when Myles friend invited him to join a football team - so last week he started tackle football.
Other than that I am getting ready for a rummage sale- which means sitting in my basement for hours on end getting items sorted and priced. I will be glad to get rid of all of the things we have accumulated over the years and make money for more summer fun!
We still have state fair and a trip to Eau Claire for some Northern Wisconsin fun- Mom and Dads Cabin (and FIRE), Valley Fair (I know that is in Minnesota), the drive in and just relaxing!
Well, now I have blogged on and on!
